happy hanukkah

Yay, it's time for hanukkah again! I hope you are having a lovely time in Colorado and are skiing your hearts out. It was so delightful to see you last week and I had a great time painting with you and eating Matzo ball soup with you. Thank You again for a the sweet gifts, was so nice of you! I hope to come see you again soon...who knows, I may even be back in Connecticut to study this spring...maybe!

Please tell mom and dad to check thier e-mail. Remember those Jib Jab cards? The ones where we put our pics and dance? I sent one to them so be sure to view it.

animals in africa

I wanted to share some pics with you of a little mini safari that I took in Africa. It was great fun. We went on horseback so we could get closer to the animals. Unfortunatly I didn't get to see any elephants or giraffes. It was about to storm that day and the animals were hiding from the lightening.

ok, so I just wanted to say that I miss you three kids TONS and that I am thinking of you often although I am running around Salt Lake and Denver visiting family and friends. Thank You to Madeline for your messages and love and I want you to know that I really enjoyed talking to you on the phone the other night. You are a sweetheart! Maxwell, I really miss you too, how are things going? Are you both liking second and third grade? When does Marshall start school. Can't believe my little guy is going to school. Please give him big hugs and kisses for me!!! Only two weeks til I move to South Africa...I am getting excited and scared all at the same time!

I just wanted to say thanks to Max and Mad for playing me in about a dozen chess games this week and making me better. I really wish I would have had the training you do so I would stand a chance against either of you. You really are amazing, but the best part is spending time with you!

dear madeline...

I just wanted to tell you how impressed I was with you this weekend. You were a great host to Alex and Mia and I think they had a lot of fun with you at your playdate. Your idea to paint pots and have a waterballoon fight was so much fun. I am constantly impressed with your creativity and sensitivity towards others. I loved talking with you about your day on Friday and you were very helpful with Marshall this weekend. Thank you also for packing your sleepover bag and cleaning up after your messes this weekend, you are so responsible and such a delight to be around!

i'm so proud

of you Maxwell for doing so well in your football game on Friday. You are so good at everything you set out to do. I only wish I would have been there to see it in person. I also really love tossing the football with you when we have time. You are so fun to watch AND to play with. Keep up the good work...in a few years I am sure I will be reading about you in the sports section of the papers.

for Marshall!!! I'm so proud of you for going potty in the toilet twice today! Such a big boy! Keep it up. If you potty train we don't have to take breaks from cars or swimming for changes. (wink wink)
